Maternity session are done between 28-32 weeks of pregnancy while you are feeling your best. Clients may borrow a gown and lush silks for draping from my studio closet at no extra charge.
In-studio Sessions:
Your pregnancy journey is special and ensuring your comfort during your session is my goal. Allow me to capture the beauty of the moment while creating a safe space for you to feel relaxed and happy with no onlookers. Studio Maternity sessions are seriously empowering and capturing that pregnancy glow is pure magic. Whether you want dreamy or bold, we'll create stunning images that celebrate your journey into motherhood.
Outdoor Sessions:
Our desert scenery makes for a beautiful photo backdrop. Sessions typically take place at sunset, at an outdoor location of your choice, in the Tucson area.
THE maternity PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION PROCESS
HERE'S WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT EACH STEP OF THE WAY
01. BOOK YOUR SESSION
Once you select the custom photography experience that's right for you and reach out via the contact form. I will contact you via email with more information and an invoice to secure your date on my calendar. A retainer is required at the time of booking to reserve your appointment. Once the retainer is paid and my client agreement is signed, your session is confirmed and we are officially booked! We will schedule your session date based on your due date.
02. GET PREPPED
You will recieve my client questionnaire and prep guide. We will schedule a in-person consultation where we will discuss your vision and have you to come into the studio to choose from a client closet of gowns, bodysuits, and fabrics. Optional hair & makeup can be arranged so you can relax and enjoy the experience.
03. IT'S GO TIME
Your session is here! I will have the outfits ready to go from your pre-session questionnaire and our consultation. I’ll guide you with comfortable, flattering poses and easy direction. Partners and little ones are welcome to join for part of the session.
04. OOH AND AAH OVER YOUR IMAGES
About a week after your session you will be emailed a link to view all the images (watermarked) we took during our time together. Simply choose your favorites to get fully retouched. Once you're done selecting your favorites, your images will be given a high-end polish and the edited images will be available to download online. If you want the products you saw doing your session, we can do that too!

When should you schedule YOUR maternity photography session in Tucson/Green Valley with Vanessa Koza Photography?
Maternity Portraits are best scheduled between 28-32 weeks along in term. I only schedule a certain number of clients a month so be sure to secure early.
What will I need to bring for my Maternity session?
If there are speciality items that need to be included I will send an email with these items.
Professional hair and make-up is highly recommended. These are moments you are going to look back on and cherish for years to come; let us make sure they are perfect. We work with several make-up artists that are skilled in specific techniques that will compliment what is shown on camera. Pamper yourself! Sit back and enjoy your complete photography experience!
